how LOOS supports artists
LOOS supports artists and groups of artists in the following ways with:
providing facilities for free
artistic residencies for free, for instance iii (2013-2015 with Matteo Marangoni), Azimuth, Crab, Zwerm, RCC - Research Concert Cycle, Rewire festival, TodaysArt festival, Royal Improvisers Orchestra, 2010-2011 Den Haag Allstars Ensemble with Jeremiah Runnels)
small or bigger jobs (until 2020/October LOOS has never worked with volunteers)
very cheap artistic residencies (30 hours for €100 euros ex 21%btw for the studio, the grand piano, 4.2 high end sound system, a projector, monitors)(for instance iii and many others)
reducing the so-called commercial rent prices of the Studio and or technical facilities (f.i. Kluster5, Modelo62, Grondwater festival)
providing a small or bigger budget (for artists costs or PR) + facilities to start or continue a small concertseries or workshops (for instant Marie Guilleray/Ephemere, Yolanda Uriz/Wonderwerp, iii/wonderwerp, Azimuth/qb series, Free Fall/improvisation series)
PR budgets (Crab, Zwerm, Free Fall)
In 2017 - 2020 the condition for the 4-year structural subsidy from the City of The Hague for LOOS was cultural entrepreneurship.
